Commonness features for Kohzu motorized stages
Photosensor (limit, index, home)
Motorized stages are typically equipped with photo sensors: limit sensors, index sensor, and home sensor. (Note that some stages are not equipped with origin sensor.). The limit sensor is mounted on the stage end to limit its moving range1. The home sensor and the index sensor are mounted on the center of stage and on the motor shaft to reproduce the original position of the stage.
Photosensor Diagram
All limit sensors are set to normally closed2. If the sensor logic needs to be changed, we can change the logic for a fee. For changes of the logic of photo sensors, see the detailed pages for each stage and p.218 Appendix.
The origin detection system that uses the home sensor and the index sensor can be changed to an origin detection system (datum system) that checks switches in the continuity of the origin sensor data. This modification cannot be made on some models.
Note 2: "Normally closed" means the logic in which the terminals are electrically continuous in their normal operation state. For example, if the limit sensor is activated when the stage is not at the moving end, the terminals are in a continuous state.

Stage Wiring Diagram
Depending on the sensor configurations, several types of electric wiring are available for our stepper motor drive stages.
Photosensor Circuit Board
Photosensor installed as limit detection and Home position sensors are in conformity with our controller standards. However, the logic of the sensor output can be changed so as to meet the controller specifications on the user side. select a photosensor circuit board which meets wiring specifications for the stage to be used.
List of Photosensor Circuit Board
Eight types of photosensor circuit boards as described in the following table are prepared on sensor logic and shape of the circuit board.
